Zora Black
Also available in:
Zora Black is a plain wallpaper in a single black shade, with no motif, repeat or figure to line up. The colour covers the wall evenly, so what you see is the depth of the black itself rather than a design laid over it. Because there is no pattern to match, the wall reads as one continuous surface from corner to corner. These are premium quality wallpapers.
Colour and effect
Black absorbs more light than pale shades, which makes a wall recede and gives a room a clear visual boundary. That works to your advantage in two ways. On a single wall it sets off everything placed in front of it: light furniture, framed prints, open shelving, brass or chrome fittings, green plants. Used across a whole room it tightens the space and makes ceilings, woodwork and doors stand out by contrast. Since the surface carries no print, it also sits quietly next to patterned textiles, rugs or artwork without competing. The full range of black wallpapers and the wider selection of solid designs are worth comparing if you are matching an existing scheme.
Style and rooms
The design belongs to a minimalist approach: one colour, no ornament, nothing to date. That makes it straightforward to combine with modern, industrial or monochrome interiors, and it suits rooms where you want the furniture and lighting to do the talking.
- Living rooms, including as an accent wall
- Bedrooms, on the wall behind the bed or all round
- Kitchens and dining rooms
- Hallways and home offices
In a living room it gives a dark backdrop for a media unit or a gallery of frames, while in a home office the plain surface keeps the field of view free of distraction behind a desk or a screen. In a dining room, black pairs well with pendant lighting and a set table, and in a bedroom it keeps the walls quiet at the end of the day.
