Zephyr Cream Green
Zephyr Creme Verte is a botanical wallpaper that sets green foliage against a cream ground. The leaf forms are drawn across the surface in a loose, repeating arrangement, so the pattern carries plenty of detail without crowding the wall. The two shades stay clearly separated: the cream reads as the background at any distance, while the green supplies the outlines and mass of the plant shapes.
Pattern and color
Cream is a warm neutral, and it keeps the design lighter than a botanical print on a darker base would be. The green sits in the middle of the range, deep enough to hold its shape across a full wall but not so dark that it turns the room heavy. Because the palette is limited to two tones, the wallpaper pairs easily with wood furniture, cream or white paintwork and plain textiles. If green is the color you are working around, the rest of the green leaf designs are worth comparing side by side. These are premium quality wallpapers.
Style and rooms
The farmhouse styling comes from the plant motif and the soft, unsaturated color pairing rather than from any strong graphic element. It suits rooms furnished with painted cabinetry, woven baskets, linen and older timber pieces, and it also works in plainer modern interiors that need one patterned surface. In a living room it holds up well as an accent wall, where the repeat has enough room to be read properly.
- Living rooms, full walls or a single feature wall
- Bedrooms, including behind the headboard
- Entryways, stairwells and landings
- Home offices and study corners
A hallway is a good use for a pattern like this, since the repeat keeps a long stretch of wall from looking blank. In a bedroom or an office, the cream ground keeps the overall effect light even when the pattern covers all four walls.
