Xaviere Multicolor
Also available in:
Xavière Colorful is a wallpaper with a painted floral and botanical motif spread across a cream background. Blooms in pink and purple sit among leaves and stems, with the colours softened at the edges the way watercolour spreads on paper. The cream ground keeps the whole design light, so the wall reads as bright rather than busy, even though several colours are at work in it.
The pattern
The drawing is loose rather than geometric. Flowers appear at different sizes and angles, so the repeat is not obvious at a glance and a full wall looks more like a painted surface than a printed one. Pink carries most of the warmth, purple adds depth in the shaded parts of the larger blooms, and the leafwork ties the two together. It belongs to the botanical family of designs, with a country style and vintage feel that comes from the hand-painted look of the motif.
Where it works
The pale ground makes this a practical choice for rooms that get little daylight, including a narrow hallway. In a living room it suits a single wall behind the seating, where the colours have room to be seen. A bedroom takes it well, as do a kitchen, dining room, office, bathroom or nursery. Pairing ideas:
- Painted wood furniture in white or off-white
- Natural materials such as rattan and linen
- Plain textiles picking up the pink or purple from the print
- Brass or aged metal fittings for the vintage side of the look
Like everything in our range, this is a premium quality wallpaper.
