Solange Multicolor
Solange Colore is a cloud-patterned wallpaper in a multicolor palette of yellow, pink, blue and gray. The clouds are drawn in soft, rounded shapes and spread across the ground in a loose arrangement rather than a strict grid, so the eye moves over the whole wall instead of settling on a single repeat. The mix of warm yellow and pink against cooler blue and gray keeps the design colorful without any one shade taking over.
Pattern and colors
Because the clouds sit apart from one another, there is plenty of open ground between them, which stops the pattern from feeling crowded even on a large wall. The gray tones act as a link between the brighter shades and give the design a quieter base to work from. The retro drawing style shows in the simplified outlines and flat color areas, closer to printed illustration than to a realistic sky. These are premium quality wallpapers. If you like the motif, the wider range of clouds designs is worth comparing.
Where it works
The wallpaper is made for kids' rooms and teen rooms. Used on all four walls it sets the color scheme for the room; on one wall, for example behind a bed or a play area, it leaves the remaining walls free for plain paint picked out from the yellow, pink or blue. The multicolor mix suits gender neutral schemes, and it fits just as easily in rooms decorated for girls or for boys.
- Full walls or a single feature wall
- Nursery and kids' room schemes
- Teen rooms with painted or wooden furniture
It pairs well with light wood, white shelving and simple textiles. Bedding and rugs in one of the pattern's own shades tie the room together; a plain gray or cream floor covering keeps the focus on the walls. As a child grows, swapping out the accessories is usually enough to keep the room current, since the pattern itself stays readable at any age.
