Solal Creme Foncee
Solal Creme Foncee is a plain wallpaper in gray. There is no motif, no repeat and no figure to line up, just an even solid shade across the wall. That makes it a straightforward choice where the wall is meant to sit behind something else, such as artwork, shelving or a piece of furniture with a strong outline of its own.
Color and pattern
The gray reads as a mid, neutral tone rather than a cool blue-gray or a warm brown-gray, so it holds its own next to both white trim and darker wood. A solid color also gives you freedom in how you use it: full walls, a single wall, or a lower section under paneling all work, since there is no pattern direction to plan around. Without a printed design, seams are less noticeable than on a figured paper, and the wall keeps one continuous shade from corner to corner. These are premium quality wallpapers.
Style and rooms
The plain surface belongs to minimalist schemes, where color is kept limited and the shapes of furniture do the work. It also sits well in Scandinavian rooms built on pale wood, and it pairs with concrete, black metal and leather without competing with any of them.
- Full walls or a single accent wall
- Bedrooms, including behind the headboard
- Kitchens, dining rooms and home offices
- Hallways and stairwells
In a living room the neutral ground keeps framed prints and open shelves legible. A hallway benefits from the same quality, since a solid color does not shorten a narrow run the way a busy print can. In the bedroom it gives textiles, lamps and bed linen the lead.
