Roch Light Grey
Roch Light Grey is a stone-pattern wallpaper in a light grey. The design reproduces the look of stacked stone, with individual blocks set in irregular courses so no two sections of wall look identical. The grey stays within a narrow range, shifting only slightly between blocks, which keeps the wall reading as one surface rather than a collection of separate shapes.
Surface and finish
The finish is matte, so the wall does not pick up glare from windows or ceiling lights and the grey holds the same value from morning to evening. A textured surface adds relief along the joints and across the face of each block, which you can feel by hand and see whenever light falls across the wall at an angle. That structure also helps cover minor unevenness in the plaster beneath. More designs of this type are collected in the stone pattern range. These are premium quality wallpapers.
Style and rooms
The modern art styling keeps the stone effect graphic rather than rustic, which suits plain painted walls, dark metal fixtures, glass and pale or mid-toned wood. Light grey sits behind most upholstery colors without competing, so patterned cushions, artwork and open shelving stay the focus. In a single accent wall it marks out one side of a room clearly, and used behind a sofa the relief gives the seating a defined backdrop. It also works well in a white kitchen, where the grey adds contrast to gloss cabinet fronts.
- Living rooms and dining rooms
- Modern bedrooms, whole wall or partial
- Kitchens, hallways and stairwells
- Home offices, bathrooms and nurseries
In a hallway the neutral grey takes daily traffic without looking busy in a confined space, and in a nursery it gives a quiet background that still suits the room as the furniture changes over the years.
