Pauline Beige
Also available in:
Pauline Beige is a plain wallpaper in beige with a fabric-like appearance. There is no repeating motif to line up or work around; the interest comes from the fine cloth structure printed across the surface, which keeps a large wall from looking flat. The shade is warm rather than grey, so it sits comfortably next to wood, wool and natural fibers.
Surface and finish
The finish is matte, with no sheen, so the beige holds an even tone from morning to evening and across corners where the light falls differently. The surface itself is smooth to the touch, which makes the woven look purely visual and keeps the wall easy to wipe past with furniture and door frames. Because the design is plain, it works well as a background for pictures, shelving and mirrors, and it pairs easily with a patterned wallpaper on a facing wall. More options in this vein are in the fabric texture range. These are premium quality wallpapers.
Style and rooms
The warm neutral suits Japandi schemes built on pale wood and low furniture, and it also fits boho chic rooms with rattan, macramé and layered textiles. In a pared-back minimalist interior it gives the walls texture without adding color.
- Living rooms, including the wall behind a sofa
- Bedrooms, on all four walls or one alone
- Kitchens, dining rooms and hallways
- Home offices and nurseries
In a living room it keeps the focus on furniture and art, and in a bedroom the quiet beige works with both white bedding and darker throws. It is a practical choice for a hallway as well, where a plain warm tone brightens a space that gets little daylight.
