Zayla Multicolor
Zayla Colore is an abstract wallpaper in blue with multicolored accents. The forms are free rather than geometric, so the design has no strict repeat to line up by eye, and the blue carries most of the surface while the other shades break it up at intervals. It is a busy pattern by design, and it gives a wall something to look at on its own, without pictures or shelving.
Pattern and color
Blue sets the overall tone, and the additional colors keep the abstract shapes readable instead of blending into one field. Because the drawing is loose, the wallpaper suits maximalism, where pattern, color and furniture are meant to be layered rather than kept apart. It also sits well next to the bolder end of the retro look, with darker wood, brass fittings or upholstery in a solid color picked out of the print. These are premium quality wallpapers.
Rooms and placement
A pattern of this strength is usually best given one surface to itself. In a living room it works as an accent wall with the remaining walls left plain, and the area behind a sofa is the obvious spot since furniture covers the lower section and the pattern reads above it. In a hallway, where there is little furniture and no long viewing distance, the abstract shapes fill the space without needing anything else on the wall.
- Living rooms, on one wall or all around
- Bedrooms, often behind the bed
- Kitchens and dining areas
- Hallways, stairwells and entryways
- Home offices
In a bedroom the blue base keeps the scheme cooler, which helps when the rest of the room is white or gray. In an office it pairs with a plain desk and simple lighting so the wall stays the one detailed element.
