Ottilia Pink Grey
Also available in:
Ottilia Pink Grey is a floral wallpaper on a cream ground, with flowers and leaves drawn in pink and gray and birds set among the branches. The three colors stay in a narrow range, so the pattern reads as a single soft field from a distance and only shows its detail up close. The drawing has the slightly loose quality of an older printed textile rather than a sharp modern graphic.
Pattern and surface
The finish is matte, so the cream ground holds an even tone instead of picking up highlights from lamps or windows. The surface is textured, giving a fine relief you can feel with your hand, and that structure softens the outlines of the blooms and helps hide minor unevenness in the wall beneath. Because the botanical elements and the birds are worked into the same scale, no single motif pulls focus. If this sort of drawing appeals, the wider floral collection covers everything from sparse sprigs to dense repeats. These are premium quality wallpapers.
Style and rooms
The pink and gray combination suits farmhouse rooms, vintage schemes and retro interiors. It sits well with painted wood, cane, rattan and older furniture with visible grain, and plain textiles in cream or gray keep the walls as the patterned element in the room.
- Living rooms, including a single accent wall
- Bedrooms and nurseries
- Kitchens and dining rooms
- Hallways, home offices and bathrooms
In a hallway the small-scale repeat gives a narrow run of wall something to look at without closing it in. In a nursery the muted pink stays usable well past the early years.
