Nadine Black Silver
Also available in:
Nadine Black Silver is a botanical wallpaper that sets plant forms against a dark ground. The black base carries the design, while gray tones pick out the foliage and give the pattern its definition. Because the two shades sit far apart in weight, the leaf shapes stay legible from across a room rather than blending into the background.
Pattern and color
The drawing belongs to the botanical family, so the motifs are plant-based and repeat across the width of the wall in an even distribution. Dark grounds absorb light instead of reflecting it, which makes a wall recede visually and gives furniture and framed pictures a clear outline in front of it. The gray highlights keep the scheme neutral, so the paper works alongside warm woods just as readily as with cool metals and white paint. These are premium quality wallpapers. If the darker end of the range appeals, the wider selection of black designs covers plain and patterned options, and the narrower black and silver grouping collects papers built on this same two-color contrast.
Style and rooms
The plant motifs place it in tropical and exotic schemes, where large-leaf shapes and dark backgrounds are the usual starting point. It pairs well with rattan and cane furniture, brass fittings, and upholstery in solid colors. Used on all four walls it closes a room in; used on one wall it marks out a specific zone, such as the area behind a bed or a dining table.
- Living rooms and dining rooms
- Bedrooms, including a single wall behind the headboard
- Hallways, home offices and kitchens
- Bathrooms and nurseries
In a hallway the dark ground hides scuffs and shadows better than a pale finish, and in a bedroom it keeps the room quiet and low-lit in the evening. In a nursery, one papered wall is usually enough to balance the depth of the black.
