Idriss Cream
Also available in:
Idriss Creme is a geometric wallpaper in cream and green. The shapes are drawn loosely rather than with hard mechanical precision, so the repeat reads as abstract even though the underlying grid is regular. Green sits against the cream ground in a steady rhythm across the width, which keeps the pattern readable from across a room without it turning into a solid block of color.
Pattern and colors
Cream carries most of the surface, so the overall tone stays light and the green works as the accent rather than the base. That balance makes the paper easier to use over a full four walls than a darker geometric would be. The geometric structure gives the wall a clear horizontal and vertical order, useful where the furniture is low or the architecture is plain. Its retro character comes from the drawing style and the color pairing, which sits closer to mid-century schemes than to current minimal ones. These are premium quality wallpapers.
Rooms and furnishings
The pattern suits rooms where you want visible design on the wall but not a large-scale motif. In a living room it holds up behind open shelving, a sideboard or framed prints, since the repeat is small enough that objects in front of it stay legible. A hallway benefits from the light ground, which keeps a space with little daylight from closing in. Warm woods, rattan, brass fittings and plain textiles all work alongside it; strong printed fabrics are better kept to a minimum in the same room.
- Living rooms, including a single accent wall
- Bedrooms and nurseries
- Kitchens and dining rooms
- Home offices, hallways and bathrooms
Used in a bedroom, the cream base keeps the scheme calm, and the green picks up naturally in bedding or curtains. In an office the repeat gives the wall behind a desk some definition without pulling attention from the work in front of it.
