Flavie Pink Multicolor
Flavie Colorful Pink is a floral wallpaper with a pink base and a multicolor botanical print. Flowers, leaves and small animal motifs are worked into the same design, so the pattern carries several points of interest across the wall without one element taking over. The pink ground holds the brighter colors together and keeps the overall effect warm rather than scattered.
Pattern and colors
The botanical drawing is detailed, with stems and foliage filling the space between the blooms, and the animal motifs sit within that greenery rather than standing apart from it. Because the print mixes several shades, it picks up colors already present in a room's textiles and pulls them together. On a full wall the repeat reads as dense and even; on one wall only it works as a clear focal point behind furniture. More designs in this family are grouped under animals, and the full range of pink options is worth comparing side by side. These are premium quality wallpapers.
Style and rooms
The combination of florals and a pink ground suits farmhouse schemes built on painted wood, ceramics and simple cotton curtains. It also fits vintage interiors with older furniture and mixed finishes, where a busy print has company rather than standing alone. Plain upholstery, natural wood and white trim give the pattern room to be read properly.
- Living room walls, including behind a sofa
- Bedrooms, on all four walls or one only
- Kitchens and dining corners
- Hallways, where the pattern is seen in passing
- Home offices and study nooks
In a living room it sits well behind low shelving or a sideboard, where the furniture breaks up the repeat. In a hallway the multicolor print gives a windowless space something to look at, and it stands up to being seen at close range.
