Evariste Light Gray

Evariste Gris Clair is a wallpaper in gray. Gray sits between warm and cool schemes without pulling either way, so it gives you a wall color that stays neutral against whatever furniture, flooring and textiles you already own. These are premium quality wallpapers.

A gray wall is easy to build on. Wood tones read warmer against it, white trim and doors look cleaner, and black metal fittings stand out clearly. Colored pieces such as a green armchair, brass lamps or a patterned rug keep their own character rather than competing with the wall. If you prefer a quiet room, gray also works with other muted tones, so a scheme of soft blues, sand and off-white stays calm. It suits full rooms as well as a single wall behind a bed, a sofa or a desk.

The color is practical across the whole house. In a bedroom it keeps the walls restful and lets bedding and curtains set the tone. In an office it gives shelves, screens and framed prints a plain backdrop to sit against. A hallway benefits from a color that takes daily traffic and changing daylight in its stride, and in a connecting space like that, gray helps tie adjoining rooms together instead of breaking them apart.

It is equally at home in a living room, kitchen, dining room, bathroom or nursery, which makes it useful when you want the same wall color to carry through several rooms.
