Esmee Antique White
Also available in:
Esmée Old White is a plain wallpaper in a warm off-white. There is no motif and no repeat to line up, so the wall reads as one continuous, even color. The shade carries a faint hint of age in it, closer to soft chalk than to bright paper white, which keeps it from looking stark under daylight.
Surface and finish
The surface is smooth, with no relief or woven structure, and the matte finish reflects almost no light. That combination keeps the color consistent from one end of a wall to the other, including on long uninterrupted runs and around corners where a glossier paper would show bright patches. Because nothing competes for attention, the wall behaves as a background: furniture outlines, framed pictures and shelving stay the focus. These are premium quality wallpapers. You can browse more solid designs alongside this one, and the full range of white wallpapers covers other tones if you need a cooler or crisper option.
Style and rooms
The shade suits minimalist schemes built on few colors and clean lines, and it works equally well in boho chic rooms, where rattan, natural textiles and plants supply the pattern and the walls stay quiet. It pairs with pale and dark wood alike, and it does not fight with a patterned rug, printed cushions or a gallery wall.
- Living rooms, including the wall behind a sofa
- Bedrooms and nurseries
- Kitchens, dining rooms and hallways
- Home offices, bathrooms, kids' and teens' rooms
In a living room it can cover all four walls without closing the space in, and it is a practical backdrop for a TV wall, where a dark screen sits against it cleanly. In a nursery the soft tone stays usable as the room's furniture and colors change over the years. Esmée Old White is from the Michalsky collection.
