Emerie Beige
Emerie Beige is a landscape wallpaper worked in cream and beige, with red used as the accent color. The scenic drawing spreads across the wall in soft, low-contrast tones, and the red picks out details rather than filling large areas. The result is a wall covering with plenty to look at up close that still reads as a light, neutral surface from across the room.
Pattern and colors
Cream and beige sit close together in weight, so the scenery holds its shape without strong contrast lines, and the red keeps the design from going flat. Because the base tones are pale, the pattern works on all four walls of a room as well as on a single wall. These are premium quality wallpapers. If the scenic drawing is what draws you in, the wider selection of landscapes is worth looking through, and the smaller group of mountains designs sits in the same family. For schemes built around the accent color, see the red range.
Style and rooms
The design belongs to farmhouse and vintage interiors. It goes with stained or painted wood, rush seating, cotton and linen textiles, and framed prints in simple mounts. Plain upholstery suits it better than a second pattern, and warm metals such as brass pick up the beige tones.
- Living room walls, including behind a sofa
- Bedrooms, on one wall or all around
- Entryways, landings and stairwells
- Home offices and studies
In a living room the pale ground keeps furniture and artwork readable against the scenery. In a hallway, where there is little furniture to look at, the landscape gives the walls something to carry on their own.
