Edith Dark Beige
Also available in:
Edith Beige Fonce is a plain wallpaper in a deep beige. There is no motif and no repeat to line up, so the wall reads as one continuous field of color. The shade is warm and fairly dark for a beige, closer to a soft earth tone than to cream, which gives it more presence than a pale neutral while keeping it easy to combine with other colors.
Color and pattern
Because the design is solid, the color does the whole job. That makes it useful on long or interrupted walls, where a pattern would need careful planning around doors, radiators and corners. It also gives furniture, framed pictures and shelving a quiet background to sit against. If you are comparing options, the full range of solid designs is worth working through, and the beige selection shows how the tone shifts from light sand to darker shades like this one. These are premium quality wallpapers.
Style and rooms
The restrained color fits minimalism, where walls are meant to hold a room together rather than draw attention. It works with pale wood, black metal fittings, linen and leather, and it sits well next to white woodwork without the hard contrast you get from a bright white wall. Textiles in cream, rust or gray-green all sit comfortably against it.
- Living room walls, whole rooms or a single side
- Behind a sofa, where it stays calm behind cushions and throws
- An office, including the wall behind a desk
- A hallway or stairwell
In a hallway the darker beige holds up better visually than a very light shade, and in a work space it keeps the field of view free of pattern. Paired with an accent wall in a stronger color, it also serves as the steady surround.
