Berenice Light Green
Also available in:
Bérénice Light Green is a floral and botanical wallpaper drawn in blue and turquoise. Leaves and blossoms fill the surface in a dense, overlapping arrangement, with the lighter turquoise tones reading as highlights against the deeper blues. The drawing is detailed rather than graphic, so the pattern holds together as a whole across a large wall while rewarding a closer look up close.
Pattern and surface
The finish is matte, which keeps the blues even under daylight and lamplight instead of throwing back bright spots. A textured surface adds a fine relief you can feel with your hand, and that structure softens the printed edges of the foliage slightly while helping to conceal minor unevenness in the wall behind it. Because the design runs edge to edge with no open ground, joins are easy to lose in the pattern. These are premium quality wallpapers. More of the same plant-based drawing can be found among the leaf designs, and the denser jungle patterns follow a similar idea.
Style and rooms
The mood is exotic and tropical, and the scale of the pattern puts it firmly in maximalist schemes. It sits well with dark wood, rattan, brass fittings and plain upholstery in cream, navy or unbleached linen. Against white paintwork the turquoise stays clear; against warmer, earthier colors the blues read as deeper. Houseplants and simple framed prints work alongside it without competing.
- Living rooms, including a single accent wall
- Bedrooms and nurseries
- Kitchens and dining rooms
- Hallways, home offices and bathrooms
In a living room it gives a wall enough weight to anchor seating placed in front of it. Used in a hallway, the busy foliage disguises the scuffs and marks that corridors collect, and the cool color range keeps a windowless space from feeling closed in. A bedroom takes it well behind the bed, where the pattern is seen mainly from the doorway.
