Beatrix Multicolor
Beatrix Coloree is a floral wallpaper in a multicolor palette, so several shades appear across the design instead of one dominant tone. The flowers carry the pattern on their own, without a geometric grid or border to frame them, and the mix of colors keeps the repeat from reading as uniform across a full wall.
Pattern and finish
The surface is matte, which means no gloss and no reflections from lamps or windows, and the colors hold the same value whether the wall faces daylight or sits in a darker corner. The paper is also smooth, with no relief or grain, so the floral shapes stay crisp and the eye takes in the drawing rather than the texture beneath it. That flat surface suits walls that are already in good condition, and it sits well next to other smooth finishes such as painted joinery or lacquered doors. More papers with this kind of surface are collected in the smooth range, and the broader multicolor selection is worth comparing if you want several tones to draw furnishings from. These are premium quality wallpapers.
Style and rooms
The look is contemporary rather than traditional, so the florals work in rooms built on plain walls, simple furniture and clear surfaces. Because the pattern already supplies the color, it pairs best with upholstery and curtains in single flat shades, picking one tone out of the paper and leaving the rest as accents in cushions, art or a rug.
- Living rooms, including the wall behind a sofa
- Bedrooms, on all four walls or a single wall behind the bed
- Kids' rooms, where the multicolor design gives plenty to look at
- Teen rooms, alongside shelving and desks
In a bedroom under the roof the flat finish and light-toned mix help the slopes feel less closed in, which is why it fits the attic category as well. In a child's or teen's room the pattern has enough going on to stand without posters, and enough restraint to stay usable as the furniture changes.
