Aziliz Dark Blue
Aziliz Dark Blue is a wall covering with a painterly floral and botanical motif set against a deep blue ground. Flowers and leaves are drawn loosely rather than realistically, so the design reads as modern art at close range and as a dense, dark pattern from across the room. The surface is smooth, with a shiny finish that catches daylight and lamplight and keeps the dark base from looking flat.
Pattern and colour
The palette stays within a narrow range: a dark blue background carrying stems, petals and foliage in lighter and cooler tones. Because the drawing is abstract, the repeat is not obvious at a glance, which makes the paper easy to use across a full wall. It sits well with wood furniture, brass or black metal fittings, and textiles in cream, rust or muted green. Against white woodwork the contrast is sharp; against grey or off-white walls the effect is softer. If you are drawn to floral designs but want something less traditional, this one leans firmly toward maximalist interiors.
Where it works
The dark ground makes this a good choice for rooms you use in the evening, and for smaller spaces where a single strong pattern does more than a pale colour would. It works as a full treatment or on one wall only.
- A single accent wall in the living room
- Bedrooms, behind or around the headboard
- Dining rooms, kitchens and home offices
- Hallways, where the pattern gives a short space some depth
