Arthuro Blue Silver
Arthuro Blue Silver is a damask wallpaper in blue with silver detailing. The design follows the classic damask layout: symmetrical ornamental motifs set in regular rows, each one mirrored down its center line, with the silver drawing the outlines and inner scrollwork against the blue ground. Because the repeat is even and predictable, the pattern holds together across a full wall instead of breaking up into unrelated shapes.
Pattern and color
Blue and silver is a cooler pairing than the gold-and-cream version of the damask most people picture, so the result reads as more restrained. The silver picks up whatever light falls on it, which means the motifs stand out more clearly near a window or a lamp and settle back into the blue in dimmer corners. That gives the wall some variation through the day without the pattern ever becoming loud. It suits rooms with white or pale woodwork, dark wood furniture, and gray or navy upholstery, and it sits well with chrome, nickel and glass fittings. Plain textiles are the safer choice alongside it; a second pattern in the same room will compete. More designs in the same tradition are collected in the damask range. These are premium quality wallpapers.
Rooms and placement
The scale and symmetry of a damask make it a reliable choice for a single wall as well as for a whole room, and it is often used where a formal look is wanted.
- Living rooms, including the wall behind a sofa
- Bedrooms, dining rooms and hallways
- Kitchens, bathrooms, home offices and nurseries
In a living room it gives framed pictures and mirrors a background with structure. Used as an accent wall, it marks out one side of the room while the rest stays painted. A hallway is another good fit, since the repeating motifs carry the eye along a long run of wall, and in an office the blue keeps the space calm behind a desk.
